Description

Up for auction is an album of four 78 rpm big band / swing / jazz records by Glenn Miller & His Orchestra on RCA Victor Records P-148.  

 

The sides are:

 

20-1564 - American Patrol / Song Of The Volga Boatman.

 

20-1565 - Tuxedo Junction / In The Mood. 

 

20-1566 - Little Brown Jug / Moonlight Serenade.

 

20-1657 - Star Dust / Pennsylvania Six-Five Thousand.

 

These records grade VG with good shine and light marks. Very few light scratches. Sound is very loud and there is light surface noise but this seems to be due to the recordings more so than the surface conditions.

 

The album is in good condition with good binding and minor fraying on the ends. The sleeves are still functional with no seam splits or push-throughs on the bottoms or sides.

 

Just came into a huge stash of early rock & roll / rhythm & blues 78s from a recent 78 hunting trip through the deep south.

Grading System:

  • NM = near new condition
  • E = barely played, extremely close to near new condition
  • VG = played, but not abused condition, should play very well, may have light scratches, scuffs
  • G = well played, but should play pretty well, will have deeper scratches, scuff; may have some background noise, scratches, scuffs, wear
  • P = well used, pretty bad condition, lots of background noise
