Description

Produced by Guilford Records, G-1279.  The date on the label, underneath the group name, is 1963.  The group name is The Ravens.  Side B is, Long Shot.  ULTRA RARE - I CAN'T FIND OUT ANYTHING ABOUT THIS GROUP AT ALL.  I can find only one other record on this Baltimore label, Guilford Records (there is a label by the same name which a soul label out of Detroit in the 1980s), that I can find online, and this was for another Garage Band out of Baltimore, The Gross National Product, where the A Side was a song called, Cover Girl.  This group/song eventually had this 45 RPM on the Parrot Label.
This 45 is ALSO SIGNED BY A "John C. Holgenberg" AND WHO INSCRIBED THE RECORD TO, "To Ginny".  This inscription and signature are on both sides of the 45 RPM.  I assume this John C. Holgenberg was a group member.
The record was stored in a plain brown sleeve.  The vinyl looks very clean with a light scratch or two, but there is a single light unfeelable scratch that cuts across the whole song of Side B, and because of that scratch, I'll provide an overall grade of VG+.
