MILES DAVIS E.S.P. LP⭐️’65 US 1st Mono Promo Pr CL 2350 2-EYE Hancock Shorter

Affordable vintage copy! :)

OK - here is the lowdown on this rare record. Naturally as you can imagine I was super excited when I pulled it out of the pile, then deflated when I saw numerous blems, scratches, scuffs but I decided to use all means to try to restore it as best I can. I have many years experience here and I know what works and what does not! I also know that these 60’s DG cuts are often so good they can often still playback quite OK despite looking like junk.

1. Cleaning deck set to 78 RPM for several dry dust removal passes with cleaning 3 different clening pads

2. Still on the cleaning deck at 78 RPM several wet brush cleanings with 2 different cleaning pads

3. Flat surface microfibre cloth wet hand clean

4. Ultrasonic clean

Play test - Technics 1210 MK1, Pickering stylus, Stanton 500 II cart, 2.5 weight, Nikko VTG Receiver set to mono*:

I was blown away quite how well it played and tracked fine/did not skip or repeat. Tracks sounded bright/punchy. Overall s/n was present but never obscuring the recording. Despite the audible imperfections S1 and most of S2 was an enjoyable listen. S2 ‘Iris’ was a difficult listen and tics/pops were distracting. Labels Fab. OK, maybe TMI but I hope that is helpful. I have tried to price fairly taking condition/rarity into account :)

*NB mono recordings played on stereo hi-fi will present higher leves of s/n. Set to mono! BIG difference :)

Grading Vinyl Records: I use the industry standard grading guide below for records.

How Will My Record Be Packed?

*IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME THAT YOUR RECORD ARRIVES UNDAMAGED!

When packing a record, I separate the vinyl (in the sleeve) from the jacket to prevent seam-splits during shipment. If required I include a FREE stiff 12” cardboard spacer to sandwich the record inside a FREE high-quality professional RECORD BOX MAILER made in the USA from 100% recycled paper.

**EBAY ANTI-RETURN FRAUD PARTNER**

I go to such lengths to ensure the highest quality packaging it is impossible for a record to be damaged without very obvious visible severe damage to the mailer.

If you claim you have received a vinyl record that is cracked or damaged I will ask you to send me the following before I will even consider any kind of refund:

High-quality photographs showing -

1. each side of the whole LP that is good enough quality to zoom in and clearly see any damage without it being blurred

2. A close-up photograph of each side of the label on the record to verify it is the same record as dispatched

3. Clear pictures of any damage to the mailer

4. Please contact me first but then be prepared to wait just a couple of days while I work with eBay to check for any return fraud patterns. Whilst we are all operating under the honor system unfortunately this has become necessary especially regarding vinyl records. THANK YOU! :)

SHIPPING TO N AMERICA ONLY!

Please be sure this is what you want from the grading description here and attached photos!

Very Good (VG)

Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time. Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list VG as the lowest price.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

Generally worth 10-15% of the Near Mint value. A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
