Description
Original 1969 Canada stereo press of LP on Venture label
49th Parallel ( self titled)
CONDITION:
cover: Excellent to Excellent+
just faint shelf wear/soiling ~ tiny wear to corners
has double drill hole* through cover ( through labels & LP center,too)
see scan #1 ~ this is difficult to detect ~ it's about elbow height of the
right & left standees ~ it's actually a bit easier to spot from back cover view
*the double drill hole was used by manufacturer Quality Records in Toronto
as a promotional designation for a few years ~ although there is no promo
sticker designation ~ looks like this was the copy from radio station CKFH
in Toronto ~ has rubber stamp on A side label
vinyl: Excellent+ to Mint-
super clean with high gloss ~ no marks or scratches ~ looks NM
but, the double drill hole through the center has sent
microscopic cracks toward the groove part of the LP & it looks like
the last cut on each side has been encroached a bit ~ there's nothing bad at all
& i don't find it of concern at all, although there are several faint ticks on these cuts,
it does mean the vinyl is a bit less than perfect ~ although it is difficult to
envision a cleaner copy of this release after these 35 years ( i guess sealed would be better)
the remainder of the LP plays excellent with an occasional odd lite tick
rare & legendary garage psych from Alberta Canada
