Description

This is a very rare 1957 Mono deep groove first stock copy pressing of JOHN COLTRANE, "Blue Train" LP, 1957, Blue Note Records, BLP-1577 [M], ("Deep groove" version; W. 63rd., NYC address on label). The vinyl seems to be in very good. The weight is indicative of the classic 180 gram vinyl of this era. Deep grooves in the center of labels. RVG and "earmarks" are in the dead wax on each side.Nice shiny gloss to each side's surface. A few scattered paper scuffs and or small scratches here and there. Low noise. No skips. Awesome authentic mono sound is totally mesmerizing. I would rate the overall vinyl condition VG+. The cover seems to be in near excellent order. Shiny emulsion on front cover is still intact with no discrepancies. Absolutely no ring wear. Sturdy spine and seams are totally intact. I would rate the overall cover condition VG+. For a record this rare in this shape I would definitely consider it to be collector quality.
