Excellent lot of 6 female violin LPs with one each from Johanna Martzy, Erica Morini, Ida Haendel, Helen Airoff, Susanne Lautenbacher and Renee’ Marcel. Four of the LPs are 1950s monaural recordings and the other two are in stereo, probably from the 1960s. All are US pressings.

The records are:

1. Ida Haendel. Bruch’s “Violin Concerto No 1” (RCA Victor LBC 1013, monaural Bluebird Classic 1s/3s Indiana stampers). Visually near mint and plays with just some light occasional surface noise and a light tic or two. Cover shows just light wear.
2. Erica Morini. Tchaikovsky’s "Violin Concerto In D Major, Op 35" (Westminster XWN 18397, monaural) with Artur Rodzinski conducting The Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of London. The glossy LP looks and plays crisp and clear with just a couple of superficial marks and some light occasional surface noticeable primarily at the leading edge. The cover is also in excellent condition with no splits, tears, writing or cutouts and just some light wear noted.
3. Johanna Martzy. Schubert’s “Duo In A Major For Violin and Piano” (Mace SM 9013, stereo). Also includes “Rondeau Brilliant In B Major For Violin and Piano”. Jean Antonietti on Piano. Light occasional surface noise. Cover shows some ringwear and a small tear at the cover opening.
4. Helen Airoff. Mozart’s “Violin Concerto In D Major” (Remington R 199-46, monaural). Austrian Symphony Orch, Kurt Woss conductor. The glossy LP looks near mint with just a few sleeve scuffs and other superficial marks. It plays crisp and clear with some light surface noise. The cover shows just some light wear and aging.
5. Susanne Lautenbacher. Mozart “Sinfonia Concertante For Violin, Viola and Orch” (Turnabout TV 4098, stereo). Ulrich Koch, viola. Also includes “Concertone For Two Violins, Oboe, Cello & Orch”. LP & cover are excellent condition.
6. Renee’ Marcel. Tchaikovsky “Violin Concerto In D major” (Plymouth P-12-121, monaural). Shows a few surface marks and some surface noise that is not overwhelming. The cover shows some wear and aging and has a split on the spine.
