I wrote for a school music magazine about 13 years ago and we were sent various bits of promo material by Island Records. That's where these came from. I've never played them and they all still have their little stickers on the sleeve saying things like 'First time on vinyl and it's orange!' Please pay attention to number 6 below because it's a bit weird.
The auction is for the following:
1. Something Changed on pink vinyl with Mile End (from the film Trainspotting) on the B-side. The record is in perfect condition as far as I can see and the sleeve has a few marks on it where it looks like it's been slightly stuck to another sleeve, and a bit of a crease across the top left hand corner.
2. Do You Remember The First Time? on brown vinyl with Street Lites on the B-side. The record is in perfect condition as far as I can see and the sleeve is in pretty much perfect condition.
3. Disco 2000 on orange vinyl with Ansaphone on the B-side. The record has a thin mark on the B-side, but it doesn't look like it actually cuts the grooves and as far as I can remember it was like that when I got them. The sleeve is in pretty much perfect condition.
4. Lipgloss on red vinyl with You're A Nightmare on the B-side. The record is in perfect condition as far as I can see. The front of the sleeve is in pretty good condition, with a small crease to the bottom left, and the back has some marks on it where I think it's been stuck to the front of the sleeve for Something Changed, mentioned above.
5. The Sisters EP on white vinyl, with Babies & Your Sister's Clothes on the A-side, and Seconds & His 'N' Hers on the B-side. The record is in perfect condition as far as I can see and the gatefold sleeve is in pretty much perfect condition. This one's a 33, not a 45.
6. The last one's a bit weird. The sleeve is for Sorted For E's & Wizz / Mis-Shapes, but the record is the yellow Common People single with Underwear on the B-side. This is how it was delivered by Island, so I reckon that makes it pretty special. The record is in perfect condition as far as I can see, and the sleeve is in pretty much perfect condition, with a Promo Only sticker on the front.
So, that's the lot. I'll send them first class special delivery, for no charge. Just please look after them! I don't really want to sell them, but I kinda need the money.
