(US: Grapevine GRP 136, 1980)
Recorded: 1966
Record conditon: Excellent +++
Labels condition: Spotless
Probably the best of the original series on Grapevine. Or it could be Lester Tipton... or Larry Clinton... or Eddie Parker... or Nabay... or Jimmy Burns... or The Smith Brothers... or Duke Browner... or Dena Barnes... or Betty Boo... or Billy Hambric... or The Tamangoes (sic)... or Tony Middleton... or Sam & Kitty... or Carol Anderson... or The Precisions... or Edward Hamilton... or Flame 'n' King... or Sam Williams... or The De-Lites... or Morris Chestnut... let's just say it's one of the best of the original series on Grapevine!
Here's a scan of the original label (unfortunately not mine!)
This copy is in beautiful condition, with just a very few ultra-light "spiders webs" on either side. Grapevine dubbed the recordings from an original copy, and the hiccup heard near the beginning of the "I Am Nothing" sound link is on all GRP pressings. Apart from that, both sides play pretty much as new, with the obvious slightly less than perfect reproduction that comes with the low-fi recording.
Both labels are immaculate, and the original four-pronged centre is intact.
This record has been played on both sides to verify condition, but there's a full money-back guarantee on all my sales, and I'll refund anyone who isn't totally captivated.
