IS A STORMING SWEAT INDUCER, THAT'S FOR SURE; IT'S ONE OF MANY UPTEMPO DANCERS THAT APPEARED UNDER THE 'MALYNN ENTERPRISES' DISTRIBUTION BANNER (HANK JACOBS' "ELIJAH ROCKIN' WITH SOUL" AND LEN JEWELL'S "BETTIN ON LOVE" ARE TWO OTHERS); THE LABEL MOST ASSOCIATED WITH MALYNN IN THE 60s, HOWEVER, WAS MONEY, WITH ALMOST ALL OF THAT LABEL'S BEST RECORDS BEARING THE COMPANY'S NAME - FROM BETTYE SWANN AND BOBBY ANGELLE TO THE LARKS AND THE M-M & THE PEANUTS; THE ANGELOS APPEAR TO HAVE ONLY HAD THIS ONE RELEASE - THEY WERE POSSIBLY TOO KNACKERED TO FOLLOW IT UP!

THE ANGELOS WERE A BUNCH OF ITALO-AMERICANS, FRONTED BY TOMMY LOZANO; HIS LEAD VOCAL IS PARTICULARLY FINE ON THIS QUALITY MID-TEMPO BEAT BALLAD; THE BRASS SECTION IS VERY FINE INDEED, AND REMINISCENT OF THE SOUND OF HERB ALPERT & THE TIJUANA BRASS; THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY NEED TO PRAISE THE HIGHLAND LABEL, SINCE IT'S OUTPUT IS A TREASURE TROVE OF DELIGHTS - NOT ALL SOUL, BUT MOSTLY VERY HIGH QUALITY MATERIAL
