Many years ago (at an early Keele niter), I sold a on-sided copy of this (with a blank flip) for just £1 - what a mug! I've regretted it ever since, and won't make the same mistake twice. On the plus side, the buyer never got hold of Van McCoy's "You Still Love Her", which is another earthy Northern Soul dancer. "One More Hurt" needs no description at all. It's 100% stomping material, and must have been recorded in Detroit, if the sax honks are anything to go by. It kicks off with the sort of bass intro to start a stampede, then just gets better and better. Marjorie was another who sounded a bit like Big Maybelle, which can't be bad. Another Detroit pointer is Robert Bateman, who had the studio shaking when he worked his magic on this. Sue was one of the greatest record company's of all time, and if any further proof were needed, then take a look at the next number on the label (Billy Prophet's "What Can I Do"). How can I bear to sell this? I've just spotted a tasty white demo, that I may have a flutter on. We'll have to see.

The vinyl has a handful of light "spiders webs" only, and plays like new.

It has two immaculate labels (with deletion hole).

The edges are completely chip-free.
