Description
I've made the decision to sell some of my very large collection of 7", 12" and LPs.
I haven't the equipment to provide my own sound clips, so will have to rely on your own good judgement - after all, soul lovers are the world's most knowledgeable and devoted collectors.
ALL THE ITEMS I AM SELLING COME FROM OVER THIRTY YEARS OF COLLECTING.

It's amazing what you can find in your so-called local junk shop. Rosina Ward's was a useful source of second-hand soul records back in the late 70s, and I picked up a small ransom of 45s back in the day. They usually weren't in too good a shape, but were a steal at 20p! I picked this single up in 1978, a while before it was well known, and it has rocketed in value since then. It's quite frightening when I think that it was only ten years old when I found it, but that moment in time is now a whopping thirty years ago.
I'm not going to go into great depths in describing this piece of breath-taking soul-jazz with a beat. There are plenty of excellent sites on the internet. This one is currently priced in the region of £300 for a minter. I'm going to start the bidding at a tenth of that price, but not bother with a reserve. I'm also selling a copy of Terry's excellent "Turn You To Love" LP, with an updated version of "Ordinary Joe". Check out my other sales.
Here's a lengthy description of the condition - please read. I wonder who the previous owner(s) could have been, because it looks as if it was Frankenstein and his Bride! It's covered in many surface marks - some of which are audible light scratches, most of which are lesser "spiders webs", of the inaudible kind. It has an overall look of a single that has seen a hell of lot of plays in the past, but that was never housed in any cover. It's amazing to think that there's someone out there with the foresight to buy and play this great 45, but the stupidity to treat it as a throwaway toy, and then sell it to a junk shop for a few pennies. It's nowhere near even approaching mint status, but like a lot of vinyl copies (as opposed to styrene), the play condition is far better than could be expected. "Look At Me Now" plays through remarkably well, with just light background crackle, and the occasional click/tick. It should easily pass muster with a D.J. The flip only plays about very good, with a number of loudish clicks throughout, though these have disappeared before the end.
Both of the labels suffer from relatively heavy and dirty ring-wear, with the addition of a small letter 'A' in red on the scanned side, and an unobtrusive deletion hole.
The edges are completely chip-free.
This record has been played on both sides to verify condition, but there's a full money-back guarantee on all my sales, and I'll refund anyone who isn't totally captivated.
