Description

Original paper poster from Friday, Saturday and Sunday February 10th, 11th and 12th 1967 from the east side club The Avant Garde 2111 North Prospect Avenue.  A wonderful gathering place for young people... hippies and flower children!
The poster features Milwaukee's psychedelic rock band "The Baroques".  The group formed in 1966 and were together until 1968.  Members were Dean Nimmer, Rick Bieniewski, Jacques Hutchinson and Jay Borkenhagen!  
Poster measures 10" by 14" was is printed on thick white paper.  Paper is now yellowed but bendable, not crispy.  Tape tabs on back on all 4 corners where the poster was removed from the wall.  I tried to keep the poster in good condition for these 51 years but there is some damage. 
 First and most obvious is the upper left corner where there are some pieces missing. 
 On the right upper corner there appears to be a very, very light water spot.  Also there are 3 small rips that are visible in the photo.  
On the lower left there is a slight bend to the paper and it runs along the bottom to the right side. 
 Finally there is a small very light mark on the lower left above the curly doo-dah.  
I am also including a photo i took of one of the band members, Jay Borkenhagen.  Jay was instrumental in taking the garage band to it's psychedelic sound.  (This photo was not taken at the Avant Garde. ) 
I will mail this poster well protected in a flat box, not rolled.
