Mega Rare Israeli OST

Up for sale is another rare Israeli soundtrack LP from the movie "60th Street". 

Original 1st (and only) pressing from 1976 on Hed Arzi records # BAN 14579.

Directed by George Ovadia. Music by Shaike Paikov. Singers included Sassi Keshet, Yona Alian, & Edna Goren.

Keshet and Elian also played on George Ovadia's movie "Nurit".  Both movies are part of the "Borekas Movies" genre that was common in Israel in the 60's & 70's . I don't have a good translation to English for the Hebrew name of the genre... It was a sort of a B-Movies type that focused on a mix of Melodrama & Comedy with emphasis on various stereotypes in the Israel society at the time and the clashes between two different worlds (poor girl meets rich guy..etc).

Although some of these movies had some success, their soundtracks were usually pressed in small quantities and sold poorly. Still, these soundtracks are well worth seeking for as many of them contain some top instrumental tracks with lots of 70's funky moves, dope orchestral lounge pieces, killer dancefloor disco parts, sometimes all mixed together with Mediterranean beats. The most well-known example of such a movie is KAZABLAN which soundtrack included some killer funk tunes sampled by many DJs around the world.

Packaging

Records are wrapped in bubble-nylon and packed in a high-quality heavy cardboard package. Record is being taken out of the sleeve to avoid damages while shipping.

Grading

I use "Record Collector" grading method (Mint, NM, EX, VG, etc.)

My highest grade for a non-sealed records is usually NM (Near Mint) I will grade it as Mint only if it's sealed or if I am 100% certain that this record was hardly ever played and has no pressings faults. I will not list records less than VG condition unless they are extremely rare.
