ONE SIDED 6.5" ACETATE:
"Only Start Me Crying”
UNIQUE SLICE OF HISTORY!!! Most of these discs came from the UK Carlin Music Publishers house. This 6.5" disc is a US Melodisc with plain white labels, with just song title and "45 rpm" typed onto it.
Searching CARLIN's database, shows a MORT SHUMAN and CLIVE WESTLAKE composition entitled "You'll Only Start Me Crying Again" - so I can only assume that this is the same song (the lyrics certainly match for the extended song title). It features male vocal and full group - a GREAT RAW up-tempo rock'n'roll stomper, tough guitars etc. - don't know if the song was ever recorded or commercially available?
Googling the song title throws up only two entries - first one in Carlin's database, the other shows this song was recorded in French (!) by EDDY MITCHELL in 1965...
Hopefully the winning bidder can do some detective work! A great addition to any teen pop or rock'n'roll collection...

CONDITION : VG+ (Sleeve/Record)
DESCRIPTION : Disc in pretty good shape and plays excellently but with a bit of light surface noise (especially good for an acetate, which can often play with poor quality and distortion). Could probably do with a good wash, and presumably new owner will restore sound with software...
KEYWORDS : Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, doo wop, rock'n'roll, Sun Records, Carl Perkins, Big Bopper, Roy Orbison, rockabilly, teen pop, Spectropop, etc.
PAYMENT : Buyer pays in UK pounds, cheque (in the UK), IMO or Paypal.
POSTAGE : 12"s/LPs : £2.70 (UK), £3.70 (Europe) and £6.25 (Rest of World) / 7”s/CDs : £1.50 (UK), £2.50 (Europe) and £3.50 (Rest of World). Double vinyl counts as two etc. Each additional record charged at half price.
SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremeost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
