If you're not familiar with this artist title, all music guide (www.allmusic.com) offers this information:"Without members of the classic Love lineup, which included Bryan MacLean and Ken Forssi, Out Here (1969) still includes some memorable recordings, but moreover highlights the outstanding musicianship of the members of the time as a more experimental and free-flowing work than previous albums — ultimately relying more on musical chemistry than songwriting finesse. The few radio-friendly tunes (such as the magnificent "Willow Willow" and the gentle "Listen to My Song") and melodic rock excursions like "Gather Round" (with Jay Donellan's fabulous Buffalo Springfield-esque lead guitar) and the Steppenwolf-ish "Signed D.C." are sandwiched by psychedelic live-energy jams, both long and short, some purely instrumental (as in the pre-Edgar Winter "Frankenstein" sound-alike "Instra-mental"). "Doggone," clocking in at 12 minutes and one second in length, showcases a frenzied, mind-boggling eight-and-a-half-minute drum solo. Pop textured by electric blues and R&B prevails over horns and strings on this record, as Love pursues their more aggressive, sweat-flying rock impulses. The subject matter touches on political and cultural themes of the time, and Arthur Lee's quirky way of stating the ordinary in unordinary ways persists, but with lyrics less incisive than those of Forever Changes. Snippets like "Car Lights on in the Daytime Blues" exemplify Love's unique way of generating campy West Coast pop with an elusive, dark interior.."
