Description
Unique item for Bowie collectors: an exceptional, mint condition, German white label promo version of 7” Rebel Rebel single, dated on label: 17/1/74 (17 January 1974), four weeks and one day before the single's official release on 15 February 1974.
A-side: 'Rebel Rebel'.
B-side: NO B-SIDE (vinyl is un-pressed and smooth on reverse).
The white label is inscribed by the original pressing technician: 17-1-74, LPBO 5009, A-B, Rebel Rebel (please see photos).
Matrix number and manufactured in Germany are separately stamped into run-out groove.
Vinyl and label are both in mint condition. The sleeve is original and neutral for immediate distribution to broadcast media straight from the press.
Vinyl is in mint condition, with no marks or scratches. Although there is no B-side pressed on the reverse, the unpressed vinyl on what would be the B-side is smooth and unmarked.
This is an extremely rare copy of an iconic Bowie 7” single for a serious Bowie collector.
