UK LABEL NORTHERN SOUL
I'll be auctioning off a lot of UK label singles over the next year(s), all taken from my own large collection. I've decided to concentrate on collecting US releases, and only keep a few UK label records. Among them are some very collectable 45s indeed, so make sure you don't miss any.
I've had a problem with my server for a couple of nights, so have been unable to list anything. I thought I'd better list a few UK rarities to make amends. All will start at £4.99, because it's cheaper that way, but are worth a lot more.

Sam Dees has reached almost God-like status on the UK soul scene, whether you're musical taste is 60s ("Lonely For You Baby"), 70s (this epic 45), or 80s ("After All" still blows me away after almost twenty years). And his "The Show Must Go On" LP holds a special place in my collection.
"Fragile, Handle With Care" was recorded for the same label as that LP - Atlantic. There aren't many finer 70s recordings, and the fact that it gained a release over here is a bonus for UK collectors. I rememember that Andy Peebles used to give it some hammer on Piccadilly Radio's Soul Train show. It's hard to believe that I took a copy of this record to a Keele All Nighter in 1990, and could barely get any takers. Was the £1 asking price too high?
I am in the process of looking for a nice US copy. It has to be an ordinary issue, because demos don't have the official B-side on. If you don't know "Save The Love At Any Cost", I'll just say that it's as almost as good as the better-known top-side. It's set at the same tempo, with Dees' soul-searching vocals pouring forth in floods. Truly, this must rank as the best 70s double-sider in the world - ever!
The vinyl is almost totally unmarked, and both sides play very, very near to mint. The labels just show some light rubbing around the centres, but are otherwise nearly spotless as well.
This is a near perfect example of a masterful record, and at a bargain starting price.
This record has been played on both sides to verify condition. It comes in my own personalized card cover.
