RECORDINGS PRIVATELY PRODUCED BY THE MELOTONE RECORDING STUDIO (YOUR PORTRAIT IN SOUND).  A LIMITED NUMBER OF COPIES WERE PRESSED AS THEY WERE INTENDED AS CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO MEMBERS OF HER CLUB (THE VERDI CLUB).  THEY BECAME POPULAR AND Mme, JENKINS SOLD THEM TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THOUGH NOT GENERALLY AVAILABLE IN STORES EXCEPT THE GRAMMOPHONE  STORE IN NYC.  

12" ACETATE 78 RPM ACETATE RECORDING OF "QUEEN OF THE NIGHT" FROM MOZART'S "THE MAGIC FLUTE" TYPED LABEL RECORDED 5/30/40. PROBABLY THE INSTANTANEOUS RECORDING DESCRIBED IN THE BOOKLET.  SIDE B "SERENTA MEXICANA"WRITTEN FOR Mme. JENKINS BY COSME McMOON.  RECORDED 5/30/40.


 The acetate recording of Florence Foster Jenkins is a real gem. She gave these away at her recitals at her "Verdi Club" as Christmas mementos. The titles on this record are; "Snuff Box" and "Bell Song" These acetates are very rare. This one is in VG+ TO E-.  Please look at the pictures for more details.
