Description

10-inch, one-sided 78rpm Studio disc for 20th Century-Fox film "One In A Million"  Pressed by Allied Phonograph & Record Mfg. Co. Hollywood, California "Lovely Lady In White" mx. B-4202 - Instrumental recorded for use with the 1936 film "One In A Million" starring Sonja Henie, Don Ameche, etc. These "Ram's Head"(label)  discs were pressed and produced for various film  studios, usually used during the film's production process. References advise that this song was not used in the released film. . . "Hollywood Song" Vol.2 lists the song under "One In A Million", but states that it appeared only in sheet music form. (if songs were recorded but not used, that is often stated, but not in this case). "Cinema Sheet Music" confirms the song appeared in sheet music form, along with other songs from the film. The song is performed instrumentally only on this rare disc. Condition is about E- with some scuffing and wear, but plays fine. Blank reverse has advertising back-plate from Allied Phonograph, Hollywood Media Mail is $6.50, and not any lesser amount that may erroneously appear within this listing.
