Description
Rare personality record by Cartoonist Rube Goldberg! Recorded early 1918.
The song, "Father Was Right" was a humorous song written by Rube Goldberg, and was probably a number from the period when he toured in vaudeville. This one song was his only recording. Rube Goldberg appears on only one side of Pathe 20279 (reverse by comedian Billy Williams)Goldberg was a cartoonist during the periods of Presidents Taft and Wilson, very well known for his cartoons illustrating bizarre and complex machinery to perform simple tasks.
Record appears to be in excellent shape. Unfortunately it is a “vertical cut” record and I can't play it. Visually, I would conservatively grade it V+ (Probably an E, but as I said, conservatively). See pictures.
