DESCRIPTION:
One-sided oversized shellac test of Bluebird mx 96248-1 "Walking Blues" by Chasey Collins accompanied by 'Dad' Tracy on one-string fiddle and Joe Williams on guitar. This side was issued on the back of "Let's Go Ridin'" by Mr. Freddie, so if you're fortunate enough to have Bluebird 6261, you can move on to the next listing. What points to this test being made before the Bluebird release is that it surfaced in a batch of other similar shellac tests which included Lane Hardin's "California Desert Blues" labeled as "Desert Blues # 1" in the same handwriting. If it were pressed post-release one would assume it would have the correct title as issued. Great primitive music, and as you would expect from such an early pressing, sound is clear, strong and bright. RCA Victor spider embossing on back. Has some light scuffs and scratches that produce a few tics.
