A pair of Venuti Blue Five sides from early 1933 on a fairly scarce blue shellac Columbia featuring Joe Venuti, Adrian Rollini, Eddie Lang and Jimmy Dorsey. Sad footnote. Between the two recording dates Eddie Lang died of a botched tonsillectomy. He is on "Jig Saw Puzzle Blues" and Dick McDonough replaced him on guitar for "Vibraphonia". Music clear with quiet surface. From the collection of Ron Hutchinson. Joe Lauro (onemintjulip10) and I will be auctioning 78s and other oddities from Ron's collection over the next few months.
