ORIGINAL PARAMOUNT ADVERTISEMENT  for Paramount 12248  Julia Davis accompanied by Lovie Austin and her Blues Serenaders              (Tommy Ladnier, Jimmy O'Bryant and Lovie Austin)

DESCRIPTION:
Here is an 10" x 18" original wall hanger advertisement for Paramount 12248 circa November 1924 by "Memphis" Julia Davis accompanied by Lovie Austin's Blues Serenaders. She is billed simply as Julia Davis on the 78 label. This 78 is her only release for Paramount or any other period race record label.  The artwork does appear in the Chicago Defender promoting this release with additional text listing other current releases in one of their regular ads.  
The original paper has been mounted on a heavier stock and still has some curling from having been rolled up.  It should be properly framed behind glass.   There is some damage to Julia Davis's face on this particular piece.  I tried unsuccessfully to convince myself "Memphis" Julia got the short end of a razor scrap in a back alley off Beale Street.   No other problem with the artwork.
