Description

Up for auction is a 1955 New Orleans rhythm & blues / rock & roll 78 rpm record by Earl King featuring "Fats" on the piano (Huey 'Piano' Smith) on Mississippi based label Ace #509.

 

The sides are Baby You Can Get Your Gun / Those Lonely Lonely Nights. 

 

If someone wins both of my Ace 78 listings (the other being Huey Piano Smith on Ace 530, "Rocking Pneumonia & The Boogie Woogie Flu," then I will ship both for free)

 

I am listing some records from several 78 rpm hunting trips throughout the South & Midwest.

Grading System:

  • NM = near new condition
  • E = barely played, extremely close to near new condition
  • VG = played, but not abused condition, should play very well, may have light scratches, scuffs
  • G = well played, but should play pretty well, will have deeper scratches, scuff; may have some background noise, scratches, scuffs, wear
  • P = well used, pretty bad condition, lots of background noise

Grades G+ with a bit of shine and decent loud sound remaining. Has light marks & scratches. Still a decent player. Labels are yellow...photos had to be snapped without flash.
