Description
The Original Dixieland Jass Band was a Dixieland jazz band that made the first jazz recordings in early 1917. Their "Livery Stable Blues" became the first jazz single ever issued. The group made the first recordings, and claimed authorship, of many jazz standards, the most famous being "Tiger Rag". In late 1917 the spelling of the band's name was changed to Original Dixieland Jazz Band. Here is a very nice copy of their classic on Victor 18472 from 1918 you have Skeleton Jangle/Tiger Rag visually the record appears E- on the VJM scale and plays without skips, pops or distortion and nearly non existent surface noise, please look at the pictures and ask any questions. I wipe records with a microfiber cloth I do not chemically clean them, always open to offers and thank you for looking.
