Description
Welcome to my May auction, mainly hot British Dance Bands including many Rhythmic Eight rarities
Artist: Piccadilly Revels Band
Titles: Buffalo Rhythm / Go, Joe, Go
Label: Columbia (UK) 4610
Condition: Grades about V++ plays well
Comments:Both sides are red hot with solos galore. The trumpet player is Jack Jackson, and in fact the entire brass section is from Hylton's band. Hylton managed the Piccadilly Revels Band as part of his contract to supply all the dance bands for the Piccadilly Hotel. Other soloists include Eric Siday playing hot four string violin a la Joe Venuti and tenor sax by Ray Starita.
