Our GRADING for pskorst and bigbillkorst (our sister 78 record ebay names) is E+ (NM) rarely use on 78s, E, E-, V+, V, V- and Poor. Packing We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 6" box. We have had less then 5 problems with damage on 5400 records shipped so far. Peter
78RPM 12" Columbia X-38 Set De Falla, E.F. Arbos, Madrid Symphony Orch., Three Cornered Hat nice, above average condition E- to V+ to E- This rare circa 1937 (date on 3-4 label, see photo) 2 record set of 12" shellac 78s is in an above average E- condition. I checked all 4 sides--I felt with my finger, they all felt smooth even the scratches--surfacy minor type abrasions only here, the 4 sides are all similar condition, nice clean above average, well kept, glossy E- to V+ to E- with a light to mild wear and mostly benign mild marks and blemishes and surfacy non-feelable scratches, no notable or any big flaws I saw anywhere. This set was probably acquired by my dad 6-7 decades ago and put on a shelf and he never played it--the only reason he even kept/got it--was that it was in nice shape. He likes Jazz not classical. See my 9 photos --you can see by the photos --the quality/condition is a clean nice above average condition, only have 1 of this. Graded visually. Spindle holes and labels have light wear. The album jacket/ set has a wear/ spot bottom left I shot a photo of, besides that corner which does not affect the spine integrity, the album is clean, solid, sturdy E to E- ish, small spots on the 3 screw/ staple spots--which do nothing--does not affect the integrity or paper damage just spots showing where the staples-- actually a nice condition on the jacket--besides the corner. The album is well connected to the sleeves and covers, sleeves have mild wear--many times the weight wears on bottom of sleeve edges--these are OK. This comes from a great Jazz record collection.
