78RPM Checker 838 Little Walter, Flying Saucer / One More Chance with You weak V- This rare (last of the 78s started pressing 45s only about this period) great blues circa 1955-56 vinylish record is in a rough weak V- condition with scratches/blemishes/scuffs --this is consistent scratchiness and heavyish wear--no huge damages. Graded visually. Spindle holes and labels have fairly heavy wear-see scans. Will be in a paper sleeve. See photos of both labels. Please email with any questions. TIPS: On playing these rough rare oldies (especially the Poors) we are listing now--our expert (an 86 year old collector of 78s for 73 years with 55 years in radio broadcasting) recommends a GE RJG Mono Cartridge (that's 1950's fairly common vintage equipment) floating on the playing arm--you don't want too sensitive of a stylus on these rough gems--we don't sell or know where to get this type of equipment--our expert says if you have a good player these Poor conditions can sound pretty good--and track better through the bad spots.
