OK cats and kittens,it`s swing time again as we look at this beautiful set of 78s by Glenn Miller & His Orchestra. Ask even a novice to name a swing band,and they are likely to say Miller,for such was and still is the impact on the music scene. His original recordings have been re-issued throughout the years since his untimely death,that it`s sometimes hard to keep up with the LPs.singles,EPs and CDs. Here for you are EIGHT great original 78s by the man that gave us that special sound,and you may recall me telling you that the record labels often issued a track with a different B side,and we have an example here in this set,and if you are a big Glenn Miller fan,then this will be an important fact. Now that my 78 friends is an EIGHT part set to add to any collection. Disc two is not often heard,if heard at all,even in radio shows dedicated to Glenn. Some of Glenn`s top hits are included here and with the cool vocals of Tex Beneke and The Modernaires and smooth sounds from Ray Eberle,you don`t need much more,for this is swing/jazz at it`s very best. Each disc is in jolly nice condition too,often demanding figures from £10.00 upwards for just one disc.
