Description

Offering two 78rpm records of oldtime fiddling by Jilson Setters (J. W. Day) recorded for Victor Records, New York, in 1928.

 

Disc 1. V-40025.

Side A: The Wild Horse on Stoney Point. Violin solo with guitar.

Side B. Little Boy Working on the Road. Violin solo with guitar.

 

Slight scuffs and scratches both sides, also small round sticker on labels (see photo).

 

Disc 2. V-40127.

Side A: Black Eyed Susie. Violin solo with guitar.

Side B. Grand Horn Pipe. Violin solo with guitar.

 

Slight scuffs and scratches both sides, with a small needle dig on Side A The label on Side A has an old tear, maybe where a label was removed, obliterating part of the title (see photo). Label on Side B has a ½” abrasion mark, but grooves are pretty good and record should play well (I haven’t tried it).

 

Sales final, but I pack records with care.
