8 1/2 "S/T" 10"

Here's a very rare and totally excellentt, original 10" release by the legendary Japanese minimal/synth wave/synth-pop band 8 1/2, featuring the keyboard player Koji Ueno who later went onto play in Halmens and Guernica, and the drummer Toshiro Sensui(also did vocals on some of the songs) who later went onto play in Halmens and Yapoos. As you know, both Guernica and Yapoos were Jun Togawa's bands. The other members later played in a few Tokyo Rockers related bands. 8 1/2 was a short-lived band existed from 1978 to early 1980. All the songs on this 10" were recorded in 1978. Released on Mint Sound Records in 1985. The 3 tracks by 8 1/2 appeared on the "Tokyo New Wave" comp LP but the tracks on that LP sound more "punkish" and I think the tracks you hear on this 10" are better and should be much more favourable by those who are into the minimal/synth wave/synth-pop genres. The keyboard player joined the band after the "Tokyo New Wave" recording, I think. Inludes 9 tracks. A couple of songs on this 10" are kinda in the "Tokyo New Wave" tracks vein. The entire record is really good! The vinyl is very clean with no scratches but is VERY slightly warped. It's really not that bad and does not affect on playing at all. Plays perfectly. It's just that if you see the surface of the vinyl very carefully from the side, you can tell it's not completely flat. Otherwise I'd say it's in NM+ condition. The sleeve is in VG+ ~ EX- condition.
