Offered is an 8-Lot of Jazz & Dance Band 78s on a variety of original
U.S. labels:
1. Romeo 8-04-05 Joel Shaw & His Orchestra (actually Gene Kardos
Orchestra) In My Little Red Book/A Gypsy Told Me, condition is E+
2. Cameo 9157 Sam Lanin Orchestra-Louise/Al Alberts Orchestra (also
Lanin) That's My Idea Of Heaven (Mole & J. Dorsey present, but not
prominent), condition is E to E+ with a couple of very light surface
scratches
3. Clarion 5383-C Chester Leighton Orchestra (Ben Selvin Orchestra)
Now That You're Gone/Guilty, condition is V+
4. Victor V-38008 (scroll) Duke Ellington Orchestra-I Can't Give You
Anything But Love (hot solos)/Diga Diga Do (driving string bass)
condition is E- to V+ on the A side, and E- on the B side. The last inch
of the A side is slightly scratchy
5. Hit Of The Week 1070 Phil Spitalny Orchestra-If I Had A Girl Like
You, condition is E- There is a small sticker on the label.
6. Decca 1442 (early shadow label) Ambrose
Orchestra-Caravan/Twilight In Turkey, condition is E to E+
7. Victor 20874 (scroll) Paul Whiteman Orchestra-Broadway/Manhattan
Mary, condition is E to E- slightly grainy, stickers on both labels,
small label tear B side
8. Gennett 4856 Ladd's Black Aces-Satanic Blues/My Honey's Lovin'
Arms, condition is E- with a crack to the label which ticks lightly
price rating
