Description

This is an original 1978 release of the double EP that did much to put Factory Records on the map—the initial release of 3 seminal post-punk artists: Cabaret Voltaire, The Durutti Column, and of course Joy Division. (I also find the comedy tracks by John Dowie to be enjoyably hilarious!) The double jacket is wrinkled (typical, as it is practically constructed to do so) with some dimpling on the plastic cover. The price sticker is ready to fall off, but I left it on to verify its age. The records are quite playable, having just listened to it myself—a few minor pops and crackles at the beginning where the needle has dropped, but the tunes are old school vinyl enjoyable. But most notably all five stickers are there and in great shape—including the Ear Protection one that always seems to get away. 
Being Joy Division’s first appearance on vinyl, it’s sort of a Holy Grail of goth—so it might make a perfect Christmas gift for that gloomy guy or gal of yours!
