A GENE VINCENT Record Date (with The Blue Caps) Part 1 (Capitol EAP1-1059) UK issue 1958 Tracks: Five Feet Of Lovin'/The Wayward Wind/Somebody Help Me/Keep It A Secret A rare chance to obtain this 'hard to find, early Gene Vincent EP. Part 3 (UK issue) will be coming up on eBay next week. N.B. There was NO Part 2 issued in the UK.
Condition: The record is in Excellent (EX) condition (see below)...not far off Near-Mint. Both labels are clean and unmarked. The cover is in Very Good+ (VG+) condition.. The flipback is in very good condition. Excellent spine. It has an area of 'peeling' laminate along the open edge...but elsewhere and on the back the laminate is in very good condition. The back cover is nice and clean. Slight ringwear. NB: I have many other GENE VINCENT E.P.s (both UK and French issues) coming up on eBay...so keep looking!!
Record Gradings: I use the standard Record Collector gradings for vinyl records M (Mint): Brand new condition - no marks - cover and inserts in perfect condition NM (Near-Mint): Not mint but not far off. EX (Excellent): Shows some signs of the record having been played but very little lessening in sound quality The cover might have slight wear and/or slight creasing VG (Very Good): The record has obviously been played many times. There will be some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. The sound quality may have deteriorated but the general sound is still acceptable. Normal wear and tear on the cover but without major defects. G (Good): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated - perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover may suffer folding, creases, spine splits, discolouration etc. F (Fair), P (Poor), B (Bad): I do not normally put records in these grades on eBay except where the record is rare and still collectable whatever the condition.

Records are carefully packaged. For vinyl LPs I use purpose-made LP mailers with two inside card stiffeners. 45s are placed between two card stiffeners. I normally post records using Royal Mail Standard 1st class service for UK destinations. For Europe and World destinations I use the International Standard service. If you require your package to be tracked and/or signed-for please let me know before you use PayPal for payment. I always obtain a proof of posting certificate.
