LOVELY STEREO LP BY JOHN COLTRANE
A LOVE SUPREME
Featuring John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones
Original 1964 Impulse Stereo AS-77 LP in VG+ to VG++
Description: Here's my personal copy of the classic A LOVE SUPREME, by the John Coltrane Quatret---Mono, with John Coltrane, Tenor and Soprano Sax; McCoy Tyner, piano;Jimmy Garrison, Bass; and Elvin Jones, Drums; Impluse! Stereo AS-77; Original duofold album cover in excellent shape with glossy cover and only minor handling and shelfwear. No notable loss of paper on outside; slight missing paper, a 1/2 inch scrap at lower left of inside, perhaps where a label was removed (or perhaps it was missing in original when the cover was put together; there is no loss of text). LP itself shows no scratches or smudges, and though I didn't clean it, it plays with virtually no surface noise (I played it through once on a B&O linear drive table), as if it had never been played. "Van Gelder" stamps and "Stereo" stamps on both sides just outside of label. Rated by Ebay’s Suggested LP Grading Scale this is easily VG+ and probably VG++ (because it is so clean looking and sounding) on both album and LP. Not original sleeve, however.
