Description
Here we have an original copy of the "A New Hi - Dallas 1971" LP on the local Tempo label. It’s a various artists collection of unknown Texas psych and hard rock groups of the day and is featured in the recent Acid Archives book (where it gets 2 out of 4 on the rarity scale). Though best known for a couple of cool cuts by The Mint (included on an Endless Journey comp) and a couple of songs from Cast Of Thousands (featuring a pre-fame Stevie Ray Vaughan), the whole album is pretty strong musically!
No cover with this copy, unfortunately. The oversized poster, however, is here – mostly. A fan from back in the day cut out one of the group photos (I’ll supply a xerox from my copy of the missing image). Other than that, the poster is in VG(+) shape, with crease wear and yellowing of some sections due to age. The disc is very clean, between VG++ and Ex, and plays super.
