Description

A TRIBE CALLED QUEST The Low End Theory 1996 Jive 2LP B&W Label Reissue EX/EX

The Low End Theory is A Tribe Called Quest's 1991 second album, a foundational record in jazz-rap and alternative hip-hop that helped define the sound of the era. This pressing carries the full expanded tracklist, including "Vibes And Stuff" and "Skypager," bonus material absent from the original single-LP release.

This is the 1996 US 2xLP reissue on Jive Records, catalog 01241-41418-1, black & white label variant.

The runout carries the standard catalog-embedded matrix text for this specific pressing across all four sides.

Mastered by Tom Coyne.

Pressed at United Record Pressing.

Cream label with black print, no color striping — the black & white variant of this reissue, distinct from the later color-label and NRP/RE-3 repress runs.

Standard printed inner sleeves are included.

Ron Carter — the jazz bassist behind decades of session work, including with Miles Davis — plays double bass on "Verses From The Abstract." "Scenario" features Busta Rhymes alongside Charlie Brown and Dinco D of Leaders of the New School, the verse credited with launching Busta's solo career.
