GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : la canzone “L’Amore Dice “Ciao” fa parte della colonna sonora originale della Matriarca. Fu registrata nel Regno Unito da una graziosa ragazza londinese, Andee Silver, che la canta in maniera piacevole ed un poco buffa per il suo inevitabile Italiano dall'accento molto Britannico. L'accompagnamento è affidato all'orchestra diretta da Reg Guest. Qui si avvertono prevalentemente organo, basso e batteria. Carina anche la seconda canzone ancora in Italiano, sebbene non dalla colonna sonora. In quest’ultima è Cy Payne a condurre l’orchestra.

Notes : the song “L’Amore Dice “Ciao” is included in the original soundtrack of La Matriarca. It was recorded in the UK by a pretty girl from London, Andee Silver, who sings it in an engaging and even a little funny way due to her inevitable Italian by the very British accent. The accompaniment is entrusted to the orchestra conducted by Reg Guest. Here you hear mainly organ, bass and drums. The second song still in Italian, although not from the soundtrack, is very lovely. In this latter there is Cy Payne to conduct the orchestra.
