Ok, so here's the story. This is an advance copy of the new upcoming OFFICIAL double vinyl release of "ABHOTH - The Tide + Demos" on The Crypt label. This is an advance copy that was sent to me for approval prior to finishing production. This DLP will be available / for sale to general public at the end of July / beginning of August as it is currently now in production. This particular copy on black vinyl is available now for anyone who can't wait.
Everything is in new / Mint condition. This DLP set includes printed insert and poster just like the final version will. Album details here:
The Crypt is proud to announce the complete discography from Sweden's ABHOTH featuring ex members of UTUMNO, GOD MACABRE and AFFLICTED.
Abhoth were one of the first death metal bands in Sweden and formed in the town of Västerås in 1988 under the name Morbid Salvation Army. The original line-up included vocalist Joakim Bröms who left in 1990 to join Afflicted (ex-Afflicted Convulsion).
This 2 LP set features The Matter of Splatter - Demo 1989, Forever to be Vanished There In - Demo 1991, The Tide - EP 1992, Divine Orphan - Demo 1994 and unreleased demo / rehearsal tracks from 1990-91.
Strictly limited to a one-time only pressing of 500 hand-numbered copies, these classic tracks are spread over 2 x 180 gram heavy vinyl LPs: - 200 of which will be black vinyl.
Both LPs come in a 350 gram sturdy, reverseboard printed gatefold jacket, complete with the original classic "The Tide" cover illustration by Paw Nielsen, rare band photos, cult interviews and new extensive liner notes by Jonas Stålhammar and Jörgen Kristensen.
We have also included a huge, 24" x 24" (60.96 cm x 60.96 cm) poster of the Paw Nielsen "The Tide" cover artwork.
Expect nothing less than Cult 90's Swedish Death Metal!
