Probably the best of Jay’s 5 lps, this one including “The Royal Palm”, “Cocaine Blues”, “The Reason Young People Use Drugs”, “The College Crowd”, “Scrap Tobacco” and his amazing cover of “Ol Man River”.
A true original, outsider artist, Jay’s the real deal, without a hint of irony or posturing. Plus, his unique style (banjo feature one-man-band) is so different from other singularly pathed individuals!

This is a sealed first issue, with the rare original cover art (Jay leaning down to drink his beloved Swaunee River water) and it’s mint and sealed! Certainly the finest copy of this treasure you’ll ever see!

After a hiatus, during which we moved and built our Permanentrecords library/vault/watering hole, we are finally up and running as an Ebay seller again. Welcome back to all our old friends and hello to new ones. We’re going to try things a bit differently this time. We will still feature great, rare, obscure, strange and little-known vinyl, but we’ve decided on no reserves and a very low opening bid on even the choicest stuff. We’re hoping that this will keep you coming back to us for the chance at some genuine bargains and maybe even steals, as we allow each item to find its natural price. We are also hoping to expand into some of our other interests in the near future, like vintage clothes and books.
