AC/DC 1st Press OZ LP For those about to rock EX ’81 Albert APLP053 + Insert
Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1981 on the red & yellow Albert Records label. Cat: APLP-053. Comes in a gatefold sleeve. Comes with original insert promoting the AC/DC Box set which is in Excellent condition.
This record came from a collection in absolutely stunning condition, many not played at all and most only played a few times at best.
In contrast with BACK IN BLACK, FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK (WE SALUTE YOU) possesses an upbeat, almost celebratory vibe that probably reflected the bands mood at this point in time. Although their formula was essentially the same, the tempos are a bit more relaxed. These songs are catchy with a subtle pop-metal vibe that seemed to make them ready made for FM radio.
Tracks : For those about to rock (we salute you)/ Evil walks/ C.O.D./ Spellbound/ Put the finger on you/ Let’s get it up/ Inject the venom/ Breaking the rules/ Snowballed/ Night of the long knives.
There are no signs of spindle marks on labels. Record has a tiny manufacturing fault bubble at very end of last track side two that cause a few light crackles otherwise the record is stunning and in Excellent condition. Gatefold cover is in Near MInt condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
