Description
- AC/DC released their seventh studio album "Back In Black" in July 1980 on Atlantic Records. The band's commercial breakthrough album "Highway To Hell" was released in 1979 but lead singer Bon Scott died of a drug overdose and this is the band's first release with new vocalist Brian Johnson. Hit singles from the album include "You Shook Me All Night Long," "Hells Bells," and the title track "Back In Black."
This copy of (SD 16018) is from the First Pressing and is in in excellent condition. The embossed cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is in near mint condition. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. I believe it was mastered by Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk but it is not marked on this Columbia House pressing by Specialty Records Corp. of Olyphant, Penn. The Side One dead wax is stamped STA 804517-1B and etched S 1 B4.
In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 41 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
