AC/DC - HIGH VOLTAGE - Albert APLP 009.

 

A scarce Australian blue label with kangaroo logo copy of this debut LP from the mighty AC/DC.

When the LP came out it was discovered that the wrong songwriting credit was given to the writer of the song Baby Please Don’t Go. Big Bill Broonzy was given credit when it should have been Big Joe Williams. This was quickly corrected. This appears to be a transition copy from the changeover. The cover credits Broonzy as the writer while the record label credits Williams. An interesting and not so common variation.

The record is in EX(+) condition. There are three or four very light marks (not scratches) that don’t affect playing or listening enjoyment. The record plays a strong EX+. It sounds great. Nice original sheen. The cover is VG++. No splits or tears but there is some storage wear (not too bad) and some small spots of edge wear. A small ding in one corner.

A pretty nice copy of a hard to find LP.
