Trip To The Moon Dubplates: Part 1 & 2 (12")
Kniteforce
Cat: KF 176. Rel: 22 May 23
UK Hardcore/Nu Rave
Side 1. Trip To The Moon (part 1) Side 2. Trip To The Moon (part 2)
Acen's 'Trip To The Moon' remains one of the formative building blocks of breakbeat hardcore, when the genre was an incubator for the weirdest experiments and there was no blueprint for the producers to follow. Now Kniteforce are reissuing the coveted 'Dubplate Mixes' of 'Trip II The Moon', and all old-skool ravers will be very happy about it too. These versions from the producer's own studio were previously only available to those with the keys to the kingdom, now everyone can savour the madcap brilliance of these rugged and raw workouts, spread out in two parts and featuring more sample trickery than a freeloader in a food market.
