ACHE - DE HOMINE URBANO - NEW
LP MINT & UNPLAYED (RE-PRESS / SEALED),
In 1970, when structured side-long epics still were a novelty, ACHE put out their debut album with one track on each side. "De Homine Urbano" on side one has ten subsections, and is allegedly the very first rock-ballet ever, while "Little Things" on side two harks back to a past as a psychedelic jam-band. Ache's trademark is heavy organ and distorted guitar backed up by a sturdy rhythm section. Some parts of the title track have excellent, almost Hammillesque vocals sung in English.
