Description
Paltareon (The Far Memory of the Elves), Eldar, 1979. Very cool & fun LP from Bay Area four piece plus synth who call themselves the Trans Rock Elven Band. Core of the group (2 sisters) stem from an Elven Sisterhood who played in pick-up bands in the late 60's, published a weekly esoteric newsletter throughout the 70's and then set their ideas to music here in '79. The sound is spacey, mystical & primitive with male/TG/female vocals, garagey edge and rad Tolkien-inspired nerd rock lyrics. I've been diggin around the Bay for years now and have never once seen a copy in the wild! This one's perfect, comes complete with lyric insert and original "Celebrimbor"/"Flame On" 45! I'll try and add a photo of it later this week. Keys: New Age Girl Garage Psych Prog Incredibly Strange Outsider Real People Acid Archives, Etc. Please note: August is the worst month to run auctions so I'm starting each item at minimum I'd like to get. Thanks. See my other auctions for eclectic mix of vintage vinyl and be sure and visit my sites Companion Records and Show and Tell Music for more fun music in a similar vein.
