Description
For sale, a rare copy of the LP "Affinity" released in 1970 on the Vertigo "Swirl" label number 6360004. The record comes with a promotional letter from Pete King of Ronnie Scott Directions Limited dated 10th October 1970. This was distributed with the LP at Ronnie Scott's Club and also features information on the Vertigo band "Nucleus".
The record and sleeve are graded according to The Record Collector Magazine Grading System and both are in Very Good condition. Both sides play through with very good sound quality apart from a couple of tiny "pops" on side two. The record is bright, although side two has a mottled appearance (in certain light conditions) due to the plastic inner sleeve. Please note, THIS IN NO WAY AFFECTS THE SOUND QUALITY and was a problem with some inner sleeves in the 1970's.
The gatefold sleeve is very clean and bright with only very slight rubbing to edges. Title on spine is also clear. Inner sleeve has a very small tear at the top and is a little faded. (The date stamp is my own cataloguing).
Sadly this was the only LP released by the band, along with a single, although a follow up was recorded and in recent years has been released on CD.
Images are of the actual LP and not borrowed from other sources. So what you see is what you get! Any questions, please ask.
On 10-Dec-10 at 20:06:30 GMT, seller added the following information: Just to add a few things to the description. The matrix number of the LP is 6360 004 1Y//2 and this is clearly stamped on the A side. The B side has a very untidy stamp i.e., 636 004. The gatefold sleeve is not laminated. May be a first pressing? Hope this helps.price rating
