AFI - Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes 1997 Grey Marble Vinyl VG RARE A.F.I. A Fire Inside.
Selling this awesome and rare grey marbled vinyl by AFI. This is their only hardcore album. It’s their hardest album by far in my opinion and a great transition album. This is right between when they went from underground punk and shifted slowly through the next few albums to their more popular stuff. It also has a cover of the Misfits’ “Last Caress” at the end which was not on the CD. Hence why I bought this record.
The vinyl itself is in Very Good condition. I’m being a pretty conservative because I know this is the type of record that if I were buying it I would give it more scrutiny. On the opening seconds of Side B, the record has a scratch that will make a pop right at the first crescendo. Also, on the second to last track of side B, there is a small scratch that will make a pop sound about the last minute through the song each time the needle passes. This is from my personal collection and have found that using the needle with the counter weight further out so the needle lightly touches the record will well decrease the popping sounds on these parts. Other than that the rest of the record plays like a VG+ record. The sleeve just has slight corner wear from being in my shelf for years. The inner sleeve is in Excellent condition. This record is 25 years old and I played it maybe 10-12 times through over the years. I liked to revisit this every couple years when thinking of AFI.
