CONDITION OF COVER . . E-
CONDITION OF DISC . . . . E-
Original U.S. pressing from 1970. High-pop underground art rock/psych from Tennesee. Two songs measure over seven minutes with Alan Gold's adventurous keyboard wind-outs. The standout cut is "Let It Fly" - similar to Rod Stewart's "I Know I'm Losing You" & the Rolling Stones' "Can You Hear Me Knockin" Lyrics & band photo on back cover. Cool black label design with rainbow colorband.
The arresting front cover photo shows a doll's head facing off against a toy cannon. How bizarre!
(Athena Records/Stereo Dimension 6006).
CONDITION OF COVER: No really heavy blemishes, but some dings on the three edges. Two-inch seam splits in three different places. Very light ring wear. Noticeable corner banging. Half-inch cut-out hole in upper right corner on the print. Cover design has sharp print & rich, unfaded colors. The cover still retains a fine degree of visual quality. Black rainbow label & spindle hole are in excellent condition.
CONDITION OF DISC: Grooves look generally pretty nice: One or two hairline scratches & a teeny scuff or two. No sign of warping. Play graded: Light background surface noise with no sudden pops. The noise falls well within the acceptable range. I am still able to gain much pleasure from this copy. I believe the committed collector of rare underground rock vinyl will deem this a treasured find. (Matrix # LPS 1011 ).
