AGINCOURT - FLY AWAY. UK ORIGINAL PSYCH/FOLK LP. ULTRA RARE!
1970 UK original mono LP on Merlin label. Catalogue number HF3. Matrix numbers - side one: HF3 6532A side two: HF3 6532B Complete with lyric insert. Only 99 copies were pressed of this super rarity.
RECORD CONDITION: Excellent+, just the faintest traces of the record having been removed from it's inner sleeve. The labels on both sides are bright and clean with no writing or tears. There are three or four light spindle traces on side one and none visible on side two.
SLEEVE CONDITION: Excellent. The unlaminated sleeve is constructed from very thin cardboard which is highly susceptible to wear. There is some light creasing on both sides of the sleeve and some minor glue staining on the top right and bottom right of the rear cover. There is no shelfwear evident and the sleeve retains most of it's original colour with only light fading noticeable on the rear cover near the spine.
AUDIO GRADING: I play grade records fully using a high quality moving coil cartridge. Typically of small volume private pressings the audio quality is not as high as records from some of the major labels. There is low level background noise which is audible throughout both sides of the LP, together with some occasional light crackle and the odd soft pop. Most of this is due to the fairly low budget vinyl used for the pressing rather than a fault with this particular copy (I understand most/all other copies of this LP also reveal similar background noise). I am being particularly critical here but I consider it only fair to mention this. Otherwise this LP plays very well and goes a long way towards justifying it's status as one of the holy grail psych /folk records of the period. Records are graded to Record Collector Grading System definitions.
PACKING: All records are cleaned on a professional quality record cleaning machine and placed into a new poly-lined inner sleeve. The original inner will be included. Record covers are put into a pvc outer sleeve and the record removed from the cover to prevent seam splits. The record will be posted in a new cruciform record box with additional stiffeners.
